How can one be satisfied with themselves and their day to day life if they don’t feel pretty? Well why do they have to feel pretty in the first place? How can you teach yourself to stop caring about being pretty? Should you?
Stretch marks and rolls and scars and bruises and all of those awkward little imperfections that stop us from being perfect little cherub creatures. Yeah, I love them too.
Do we consider excessive photo shopping of ones images on social media a manifestation of narcissism or one of self-hate?
Think about it for a second. I’m sure we all know at least one person who devotes a great amount of their time to altering photos of them self before sending it out into the world. If you don’t, good for you. But if we all know a person who does this, have we considered why they do it.
My body image and self-confidence issues didn’t just appear out of no where. It took years for the insidious thoughts to peak and for me to realize that wow, yeah I hate myself.
